For certain routings, the closure of Russian airspace to EU operators is having a big impact – adding a lot of extra miles & minutes to destinations in Asia.
Worst-hit are flights to Beijing and Tokyo from central and northern Europe, with up to 5 hours extra flying time for a flight between Helsinki & Tokyo, for example.
